Ugly Truth

Ugly Truth

Your face isn't appealing
My appeal you repelled
You unmasked my face
For all to see your face
I hid behind the sunset
But you found me out
When you appeared with sunrise.

Castigation I avoided by denying
But your sudden appearance
Revived the cocooned past
Faking it by falsifying
Had united me with my revilers
But you stormed in
In your beautiful ugliness
And displaced the pretty lies.

A beauty contest was held
To verify my words
Ugly truth contested with my pretty lies
But to my bewilderment
The truth emerged victorious
But She wouldn't persecute me
She moved closer in her ugliness
And embraced me Informing me that her ugliness Was nothing but an illusion
Created by an enemy-fear.
